What a Beautiful Day

This Sunday is gorgeous! The weather is sunny and cool and did I mention our kids are GONE! Yes, that's right. They are with their grandparents and aunt in Brenham for the week.
Lee and I went on a date last night with our teammates Justin and Alison and then today after church we went shopping and had a wonderful time. Though I miss hearing their voices around the house, I also know that they are having a wonderful time and mommy and daddy are getting a nice break too! I absolutely love days like this where you just want to take a picnic out to a park and relax in the sun. Tonight we are having our small group at the Nichols pool so that will be fun.

Baby update: I have been feeling more flutters and kicks so thank you for those prayers. When I went in on Thursday, the heart beat was 147 and things looked great. When we arrived for our appointment my stomach was hurting so bad (unfortunately I think it was from nerves) and I knew I was not going to make it through the appointment. For those of you that know me, I don't go number 2 or 3 in public restrooms and certainly not one that is cornered in between all the patient rooms in my doctors office. So, there was only one thing to do-I rushed over across the way to the emergency room peeked in and saw only 3 people far away from the restrooms and went and used it. Let me tell you, ONLY in emergencies would I use a public restroom for this kind of circumstance but I was glad I did.

I'm sitting here writing this and can't believe I'm sharing all of this information but again as I've mention before-if you are looking for a pretty, well written, inspirational, sweet blog this probably isn't the one. I just felt the need to share how Thursday went in an honest way since most of you asked. The gist is I made myself extremely nervous but all in all it wasn't a terrible day. I tried to focus on the blessing of that precious heart beat and give thanks for getting the chance to carry this baby.

OH AND MORE GREAT NEWS ON THIS BEAUTIFUL DAY-
THE DOCTOR THINKS IT'S A BOY!!! Though I had not decided I wanted to know or not yet because of not wanting one more thing to make me attached, the doctor just told us last week "oh well looks like it's a boy!" I told him "well good things LEE wanted to know what the sex was." The doctor just looked at me and said "I can't believe I just told you that, I'm so sorry!" It was funny to see the look on his face but I thought to myself that God blessed me by making my decision of whether I wanted to know or not easier for me. We are excited to have another boy!
Our doctor has been unbelievable and has done anything and everything to accommodate our nerves. We couldn't have asked for a better blessing during this pregnancy.
