Fletcher News!

Well, I finally decided to announce our exciting news! We are expecting again! Hard to believe, I know but yes Lee and I found out a couple months ago that we were expecting a baby. We have been praying for a third child and so we are excited but at the same time extremely anxious.

We found out in Feb. and things were pretty shaky. I was actually told I would be miscarrying because the sac was pretty low and I was bleeding. Two days later I went in for another sonogram to double check and the sac had moved all the way up and there was a baby and a heart beat! We were in total shock because we were prepared for another loss. Since then I've been having some complications and was put on bed rest. When he told me "complete bed rest" I was in shock. I was only 10 or 11 weeks, no one really knew I was pregnant, I have two small kids and oh yeah-I DON'T SIT!

I obviously quickly learned how to sit and lay down. So many times I've wanted to write on our blog and share a funny thought, share my anxiety about this pregnancy or just write because I was so BORED but I just couldn't let myself yet.

Most of you know about our journey with losing Levi and then our miscarriage soon after so for obvious reasons we have kept this on the D.L. (down-low) until now. I kept on telling myself "ok after this appointment I'll share, or maybe the next appointment and so on." I went in this morning and things look really good. Although the pregnancy has been extremely tough, the baby has grown perfectly and looks great.

This has obviously delayed our plans to Peru a bit but Lee will be traveling there a couple times this summer to set things up and work on visas and then we will all join quickly after the baby is born. I am 16 weeks and the baby is due October 25th.

I have so much to share but I will wait and share more tomorrow so it gives me something to do. As of Monday I'm not on complete bed rest but still on "rest." This is going to be a long 5 months so we ask for your specific prayers for the baby to continue growing, for peace of mind and for God to really CALM my spirit. We posted some pictures below so you can see the precious baby!

PS I'll be writing a lot more now so check back often. Sorry I haven't written much recently but most of the stuff that was on my mind to write about, I couldn't until now.

Isn't this baby cute!
